summer’s end

Hey friends! It’s been a while since I last gave you all an update so let’s get straight to it.

From October 17-19, I will be tattooing at the Calgary Tattoo and Arts Festival in Calgary, Alberta! I will be joining the Drop The Ink Calgary team at their booth and taking walk-ins for the convention. I will mainly be offering my flash designs and the 151 Pokemon tattoos will be available in black and grey for $151 CAD or in color for $200 CAD.

From October 24-26, I will be guest spotting at Drop The Ink Toronto! I will be accepting up to two appointments per day- that’s 6 slots total. Any additional inquiries will be waitlisted until my next Toronto guest spot. By the time of posting this, there should be a link below this to submit your inquiries for Toronto RIGHT NOW :D!

With trips out of the way- it’s been going great in Brooklyn! As of typing this, I have 49 Pokémon booked out of the 151 which is insane… I am really happy about the success of this flash because I put a lot of thought into planning this drop and the work is paying off! I actually would like to do a Gen 2 flash but not for the same price and I might just work on Gen 3 and 4 while I’m at it. For the most part, most of my clients are around my age and these generations of Pokémon align with the time most of us played the games. I feel like it would pay off to do the next 3 generations it’s just that I don’t have the free time to work on them like I did earlier this year. So, let’s continue to see how the first 151 goes and I’ll assess whether it’s worth it or not to make more later.

I am looking to add more larger scale pieces to my portfolio. I will be offering large scale flash designs for full day sessions priced at $400 a day. Large scale custom pieces will be priced at $600 a day. I will announce these rates later this year but you guys heard it here first! To be clear, when I say large I don’t particularly mean sleeves. I’m not going to go from tattooing 2 inch Pokémon to full sleeves overnight. I just want to get comfortable with anything above palm sized.

Thank you all for continuing to support my journey- hopefully this summer has been wonderful to all of you. I am so happy to hear that some of you have even started your own families since I’ve been away- that’s amazing and congratulations to all the Poképarents out there! Remember to let your children choose their own starter Pokémon! I will probably send another update in the winter, whether it be this year or next- I hope you enjoyed reading and catching up with me and my tattoo stuff. Take care!
